The installation titled Vanitas was created for Designblok 2024, where Jakub Berdych Karpelis, in collaboration with the Qubus studio, presents his latest creation—a luxurious porcelain mirror that reflects the beauty, ugliness, and transience of human existence. The exhibition plinth, designed by Petr Dub, takes the form of an hourglass, symbolizing the relentless passage of time that begins the moment we gaze into the mirror.
